Policies
Please read before registering.
All new members must complete a registration form and pay a one-time non-refundable registration fee before accessing the facility. Valid government-issued identification is required at the time of registration. Members who qualify for the student or service personnel discount must present valid institutional or service ID at registration. Discount eligibility is verified by Gyata Fitness staff and is subject to management approval. Gyata Fitness reserves the right to decline registration at its discretion.
Members must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Members between the ages of 16 and 17 must have written parental or guardian consent on file before accessing the facility.
Monthly membership fees are due on the 1st of each calendar month. Payment is accepted at reception by cash or mobile money. Members who have not paid by the 5th of the month will be charged a late fee of GHS 30. Members who have not paid by the 10th of the month will have their facility access suspended until payment is received in full, including any applicable late fees.
Gyata Fitness does not offer automatic payment processing at this time. It is the member’s responsibility to ensure payment is made on time each month.
Members who wish to cancel their membership must provide written notice of at least 30 days prior to the intended cancellation date. Written notice may be submitted in person at reception or via the official Gyata Fitness WhatsApp or email contact. Cancellation requests submitted verbally will not be accepted.
The one-time registration fee is non-refundable under all circumstances. Prepaid monthly fees are non-refundable except in cases of documented medical inability to train, subject to management review and approval. Refund requests based on medical grounds must be supported by a signed letter from a licensed medical professional.
Gyata Fitness reserves the right to cancel any membership immediately and without refund in cases of conduct violations, fraudulent registration, or misrepresentation of eligibility for discounts.
Members may request a temporary freeze of their membership for a minimum of 7 days and a maximum of 30 days per calendar year. Freeze requests must be submitted in writing at reception with a minimum of 7 days’ advance notice. The freeze period will be added to the end of the current billing cycle. Membership fees are not charged during an approved freeze period. Freeze requests submitted with less than 7 days’ notice may not be approved.
Members may bring a guest to the facility using an official Gyata Fitness Buddy Pass. Buddy Passes are issued at management’s discretion and are subject to availability. Guests must sign a guest waiver at reception before accessing the facility. Guests are the full responsibility of the member who brought them and must comply with all gym rules and the Pride Code. Guests may not use a Buddy Pass more than twice before being required to register as a full member.
All members are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner at all times. The following behaviours will result in immediate removal from the facility and may result in permanent membership termination without refund:
Gyata Fitness operates a zero-tolerance policy on harassment, with particular attention to the safety and comfort of female members. All conduct complaints are taken seriously and investigated promptly.
Members train at their own risk. Gyata Fitness and its staff are not liable for personal injury, illness, or death arising from the use of the facility or its equipment during normal operation. Members with pre-existing medical conditions are strongly advised to consult a licensed medical professional before beginning a training programme. By registering as a member, you confirm that you are in good health and physically capable of participating in gym activities.
Gyata Fitness is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings on the premises. Members are advised to use the provided lockers and to avoid bringing valuables to the facility.
Members may take personal photos and videos for personal use in areas where other members are not visible. Photography or filming of other members without their explicit consent is strictly prohibited. Gyata Fitness staff may photograph or film the facility and members for marketing purposes. Members who do not wish to appear in marketing materials should notify reception in writing.
Gyata Fitness reserves the right to update or amend these policies at any time. Members will be notified of material changes via WhatsApp or notice posted at reception. Continued use of the facility following notification of a policy change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
